ON RAI SPORT 2 SPECIAL WSK REPORT ON 26TH APRIL FROM 11:35PM.

FIRST VERDICT OF THE WSK EURO SERIES. The WSK Euro Series has its first winner of 2013. It is the Spanish Eliseo Martinez (Hero-LKE-Le Cont), who won the 60 Mini category at its last round in Sarno. The young drivers of the 60 Mini were not the only ones who battled hard on the Italian racetrack. The racing day was hot and thrilling in all the categories and the results of the five finals might be crucial for the rest of the Series, which will finish at the Belgian facility of Genk on 2nd June.
KOSTANTINOS ACHIEVES VICTORY IN THE 60 MINI. The Greek Konstantinos (Hero-LKE-Le Cont) managed to pass Martinez and the Swedish Rasmus Lindh (Tony Kart-LKE-Le Cont) only at the last lap of the 60 Mini final. Martinez was content with the second position, because that position allowed him to score the points he needed to win the WSK Euro Series at the end of the second and last round.
BOCCOLACCI WITHOUT RIVALS IN KF. The French Dorian Boccolacci (Energy-TM-Vega) closed his positive weekend - he was always with the top drivers - winning the KF category. In particular, in the Final, Boccolacci had a good start from the front row and gained an early lead. A lead that he kept until the end of the race. The Polish Karol Basz (Tony Kart-Vortex-Vega), who started from the 8th slot, recovered as far as the final second place, while the Danish Nicklas Nielsen (Kosmic-Vortex-Vega) achieved the podium once again after his win in the Pre-final.
IN KFJ A WEEKEND IN CRESCENDO FOR LORANDI. Alessio Lorandi's performance (Tony Kart-Parilla-Vega) got better and better throughout the whole weekend, reaching its peak in the Final, when at half race he snatched the leadership from Leonardo Pulcini (Tony Kart-Vortex-Vega). The latter had passed the Russian Robert Shwartzman (Tony Kart-TM-Vega) and gained the head of the race. Anyway, eventually, the Russian driver was the runner-up of the race, while Pulcini dropped back to fourth in the tussle for the leadership, where he lost a further position to the benefit of the British Lando Norris (FA Kart-Vortex-Vega).
LAMMERS WINS IMPERIOUSLY IN KZ1. It looked like the KZ1 Final was a matter between the English Ben Hanley (ART GP-TM-Bridgestone) and the Dutch Bas Lammers (Intrepid-TM-Bridgestone). The two drivers arrived in the Final sharing an equal number of victories in the heats - they won all of them - and started from the front row, even though they kept this order only during the first lap.
In fact, after the first lap Lammers gained the lead followed by the Belgian Jonathan Thonon (CRG-Maxter-Bridgestone). Eventually, the Italian Paolo De Conto (Birel-TM-Bridgestone) pushed Hanley down the podium and placed third.
ZANCHETTA IS THE SURPRISE IN KZ2. The KZ2 Final was a matter between the two Italian drivers Riccardo Negro (DR-TM-Bridgestone) and Marco Zanchetta (Maranello-TM-Bridgestone). Once again theirs was a close quarters combat, which found a solution only with two laps to go, with Zanchetta who beat Negro into second place thanks to a great overtaking manoeuvre carried out just before one of the bends. Another Italian driver, Francesco Celenta (Energy-TM-Bridgestone), followed the tussle from a remarkable distance but, anyway, he managed to achieve the third place.
