A lot of protagonists in the qualifying of the WSK Super Master Series in Lonato

The pole positions went to Van Walstijn (KZ2), Walz (OK), Miron Lorente (OKJ), Hsueh (MINI U10), El Gahoudi (MINI Gr.3), and Perico OK-NJ).

Lonato is putting on a grand sporting spectacle for the fourth and penultimate round of the WSK Super Master Series. The event features full grids across the MINI, OK-NJ, OKJ, OK, and KZ2 categories. Competition has reached a fever pitch following the first three rounds held in La Conca, Sarno, and Viterbo, drawing in all the major manufacturers and the most prestigious international teams.

All categories are fully packed.

The initial part and the final stages.
The Lonato schedule kicked into high gear with qualifying and the first qualifying heats. The action continues through Saturday with the remaining heats, culminating on Sunday, March 8th with the final phase. The Prefinals and Finals will offer crucial points in the championship’s home stretch, which is set to conclude on March 22nd in Franciacorta.

KZ2 – Van Walstijn launches the challenge.
The relentless run of Senna Van Walstijn (Sodikart – Sodikart/TM Kart/LeCont) continues. The Dutch driver, winner at both Sarno and Viterbo, secured pole position and is determined to seize the championship lead. That lead is currently held by his Russian teammate Max Orlov, winner of the season opener in La Conca. The two teammates engaged in an early duel, with Van Walstijn taking the overall pole with a 44.624s in Session-2, while Orlov topped Session-1 with a 44.661s. Other top performers included Cristian Bertuca (Birelart Racing) with the third-fastest overall time in 44.832s.

OK – Walz takes the pole position.
Across the three OK Session, the fastest driver overall proved to be the American Devin Walz (Ricky Flynn – LN Kart/TM Kart) with a time of 45.722s set in Session-3, while his teammate, German driver Luke Kornder, stood out in Session-2 with a 45.863s. Slightly further back was the Czech driver Jindrich Pesl (Tony Kart Racing Team – Tony Kart/Vortex), who set the best time in Session-1 at 46.045s.
Other top performers included the second Ricky Flynn driver, Spaniard Arias Bosco, with the second-fastest time in Session-2 (45.888s); Australian William Calleja (Parolin Motorsport) with the second-best time in Session-3 (45.893s); and English driver Henri Domain (MP Kart Racing) with the second-fastest time in Session-1 (46.047s). The championship leader, Ukrainian Lev Krutogolov (Energy Corse), was slightly behind with a time of 46.077s, marking the third-best performance in Session-1.

OKJ – Miron Lorente is the fastest.
Three sessions were also run for the OKJ, where the Spaniard Daniel Miron Lorente (Fusion Motorsport – KR/Iame/Vega) set the fastest overall performance with a 46.889s in Session-2. In Session-1, Gioele Girardello (Parolin Motorsport – Parolin/TM Kart) secured the top time of 46.923s, while in Session-3, the Belgian driver Henri-Constant Kumpen (Ricky Flynn – LN Kart/TM Kart) stood out with a 47.032s. Slightly further back was the championship leader and winner of the La Conca and Viterbo rounds, the Brazilian Antonio Pizzonia (Ward Racing – Parolin/TM Kart), who clocked a 47.090s. Also slightly behind was the Sarno winner, Czech driver Zdenek Babicek (Tepz Racing Team – Tony Kart/Iame), who recorded a time of 47.102s.

MINI U10 – Hsueh among the top drivers.
Joining the top drivers in the smallest category, the MINI U10, was the American Blake Hsueh (Tony Kart Racing Team – Tony Kart/Vortex), who had the upper hand in the Lonato qualifying by setting the overall fastest time of 52.937s in Session-2. Meanwhile, the current championship leader and fellow American Zayne Burgess (Parolin Motorsport – Parolin/TM Kart), winner of the La Conca and Sarno rounds, had to settle for the fastest time in Session-1 with a 53.083s. The second-best overall performance was achieved by the Thai driver Max Zvarich (BabyRace – Parolin/Iame) in 53.007s, ahead of the Canadian Jayden Francisco (BabyRace – Parolin/Iame) with a 53.061s.

MINI Gr.3 – El Gahoudi is the fastest.
The Moroccan driver Nahyl El Gahoudi (BabyRace – Parolin/Iame/Vega), a previous winner at La Conca, immediately set the fastest time in Session-1 with a 52.330s, finishing ahead of Liam Barbo (Sodikart – Sodikart/TM Kart) by 0.169s and Spaniard Abraham Schelvis Moron (CRG Racing Team - T-Group/TM Kart) by 0.187s. El Gahoudi's time remained the overall best performance even compared to Session-2, where the fastest was Thai driver Phawin Warakitsupachok (BabyRace – Parolin/Iame) at 52.546s, just a hair ahead of his teammate, the Italian Filippo Frigerio by 0.051s, and Frenchman Edouard Ruget (Eard Racing – Parolin/TM kart) by 0.058s. Championship leader Zane Pace from Malta (Tony Kart Racing Team – Tony Kart/Vortex) was a bit further back with a time of 52.903s.

OK-NJ – Perico claims his third pole position.
Niccolò Perico (KR Motorsport – KR/Iame/Vega) remains true to form. The Italian driver, championship leader with three wins in the first three races, has secured his third pole position in OK-N Junior with an overall fastest time of 47.032s set in Session-1. In Session-2, the fastest was the Romanian Gergo Buzas (Gulstar Racing – KR/Modena Engines). Following Perico in Session-1 were the Greek driver Ioannis Kolovos (Modena Kart – Parolin/TM Kart) in 47.216s and the Finnish driver Leo Laitinen (Parolin Finland – Parolin/TM Kart) in 47.260s. In Session-2, the second-fastest time went to the German Sebastian Riedel (Team Driver – KR/Iame), while the third-best was the Italian Luigi D’Ascoli (Modena Kart – Parolin/TM Kart) in 47.244s.
