GRAND FINALE IN MURO LECCESE.

The WSK Super Master Series is going to have a grand finale in Muro Leccese (Lecce, Italy); a great end of 2014 season. The qualifying session on the international circuit La Conca had, as usual, a great number of participants: the Series organised by WSK Promotion recorded the participation of drivers coming from 40 different countries and from 5 continents. More than 200 drivers are challenging each other in the four categories admitted to the Series on the South Italian circuit. In qualifying, drivers tried to set the best time in order to start from the top positions of the heats. Heats have already started, but on Saturday the 200 drivers will have to take part in 23 races; the Finals and the Prefinals are scheduled on Sunday. As usual, all the images of the decisive races will be available on the Internet on the official website wsk.it. Now, let's have a look at timing sessions’ results.

THONON ATTACKS IN KZ2.
Jonathan Thonon (Praga-Parilla-Bridgestone) put in an outstanding performance in the KZ2 qualifying thanks to his 45"923. The Belgian driver is eager to climb up the standing; he is currently in sixth position. Also the Italian Paolo De Conto (Birel-TM-Bridgestone) did well: he is only 8 tenths of a second behind Thonon, but he is ahead of the Belgian in the standing thanks to his fourth place. This is a warning the Italian Marco Ardigò (Tony Kart-Vortex-Bridgestone), leader of the category, must take in due consideration. He was fifth today, also behind the Belgian Rick Dreezen (Zanardi-Parilla-Bridgestone) and the other Italian from Brescia Davide Forè (CRG-TM-Bridgestone). So, also Dreezen, who is between De Conto and Thonon in the standing, is ready to take part in the final sprint for the victory, while the Dutch Bas Lammers (FK-Parilla-Bridgestone) and the French Arnaud Kozlinski (Intrepid-TM-Bridgestone), second and third in the standing, set very high times.

ILOTT LEADS IN KF.
It is a battle between English drivers in KF. Callum Ilott (Zanardi-Parilla-Dunlop) had the upper hand over Ben Hanley (Art GP-TM-Dunlop) for only 18 milliseconds thanks to his 46”449. Behind them, the other two British drivers: Tom Joyner (Zanardi-Parilla-Dunlop) and Lando Norris (FA Kart-Vortex-Dunlop). These four drivers are recovering in the general standing. The battle for the final victory is getting thrilling thanks to the recovery of four big names: among them Joyner is fourth while Ilot is only seventh. On the contrary, the leader of the category, the Polish Karol Basz Tony (Kart-Vortex-Dunlop) had some troubles today and set a rather high time. Also the Indian Jehan Daruvala (FA Kart-Vortex-Dunlop) seems not at his best: he's behind Basz but only 16th in qualifying. The third of the current standing, the Danish Nicklas Nielsen (Kosmic-Vortex-Dunlop), set the sixth time. So, the heats results are going to be very uncertain. The winners of the first two heats raced are Hanley and the driver from Singapore Julien Fong (Tony Kart-TM-Dunlop).

LOMBARDO GRABS THE BEST PERFORMANCE IN KF JUNIOR.
The Italian Davide Lombardo (Exprit-Vortex-Vega) set the best time in KFJ with 47”196. This is a warning for the rest of the pack: he's ready to close the gap with the top drivers in a standing where he is currently occupying the sixth position. On the other hand, the current leader, the Venezuelan Mauricio Baiz (LH-TM-Vega), achieved a very poor performance. In fact, behind Lombardo we find the English Max Fewtrell (FA Kart-Vortex-Vega), 214 milliseconds behind, and Daniel Ticktum (Zanardi-Parilla-Vega). Fourth position for the German David Beckmann (Tony Kart-Vortex-Vega). The first two heats, run today in the evening, were won by Ticktum and Beckmann.

IN PURSUE OF MIZEVYCH IN THE 60 MINI.
The Romanian Mikar Mizevych (Tony Kart-LKE-Vega) is the driver to beat in the 60 Mini. Qualifying is on schedule on Saturday morning. Behind the leader, the Italian Nicola Abrusci (Tony Kart-LKE-Vega) and the Malaysian Abdul Gafar Muizz (Hero-LKE-Vega). Heats will be run after qualifying.
