WSK CHALLENGES OPEN IN SARNO WITH 244 DRIVERS.

The second half of the WSK Super Master Series calendar is about to start with the first of the two consecutive racing weekends at the International Circuit Napoli: the appointment with all international karting protagonists is in Sarno (SA) this time around Salerno and the first kings of season 2018 for categories KZ2, OK, OK Junior and 60 Mini will be crowned here. The first chronos have been put in by the 244 verified drivers and the first protagonists started to emerge. Soon after practice, heats took the event to its heart: the first six winners of the qualifying stages have unveiled their cards, in a preview of the intense racing day that is ahead tomorrow.

STANEK UPRISING IN OK.
The Czech Roman Stanek (Kosmic-Vortex-Bridgestone) is having a good momentum. Today he posted in fact the fastest time of OK in 57”362s. Stanek is only 0.131s clear of classification leader from Germany Hannes Janker (KR-Parilla), who kept his odds high with P2 today. The British driver Dexter Patterson (Exprit-TM) is also coming to the fore and, after claiming P3 in qualifying practice, he won one of the two heats run today. The Dane Nicklas Nielsen (Tony Kart-Vortex) also secured one win, leading Janker and Stanek in the occasion. Following the missed opportunity in the previous round, Nielsen is resolute to bounce back from his current P3 in the provisional standings.

STRONG START FOR BORTOLETO IN OK JUNIOR.
The Brazilian Gabriel Bortoleto (CRG-TM-Vega) has been the first to show his speed in OK Junior, where he claimed the pole position in qualifying with a fastest time of 58”84s. Behind him, the driver from Palermo Gabriele Minì (Parolin-Parilla) was 0.155s shy. Minì shares the second place of the standings equal on points with Bortoleto. Today’s result inflames the fight for the lead, as the current leader Kirill Smal (Tony Kart-Vortex) could not go beyond P11. The initial heats confirmed the strong motivation of their rivals to bounce back, as the first race was won by Minì, while the Estonian Paul Aron (FA-Vortex), who is fourth in the standings and third today in qualifying, won the second one.

ARDIGÒ BACK ON TOP IN KZ2.
Marco Ardigò seem to be back on top of the game, as he has been leading KZ2 today posting the quickest time in 56”307s. Matteo Viganò was second at 0.113s, with the Finn Simo Puakka third (all on Tony Kart-Vortex-Bridgestone). These drivers are targeting the lead of the classification, coming tomorrow with qualifying heats for KZ2.

KUCHARCZYK CHARGING IN 60 MINI.
The best time in 60 Mini was posted by the Pole Tymoteusz Kucharczyk (Parolin-TM-Vega), who completed his fastest lap in 1’06”996s, leading Flavio Olivieri (EvoKart-TM) by 0.243s. Classification leader from Norway Martinius Stenshorne (Parolin-TM) waited on the back foot early on, but then won one heat. The Romanian Alexander Iancu (Maranello-TM) also showed a good shape, winning the other heat. The current main rival of Stenshorne, Andrea Antonelli (Energy-TM), seemed to be struggling today in P22.

EASTER RACES LIVE FROM SARNO.
Further 23 races will take place tomorrow, before the closing stages on Sunday April 1st. The Racing Easter will have the usual media coverage by WSK Promotion: racing action will be broadcast live from Prefinals and Finals. The appointment with the live streaming from Sarno will get underway from 10:50 to the end of Finals on wsk.it.
