A PODIUM AS LONG AS A WSK RACE YEAR. Everybody was really there: drivers, Manufacturers and team managers, all of them making up the cast for an international show, the karting show of WSK events. Besides the WSK Master Series and the WSK Final Cup, the WSK Euro Series took all over Europe the 8 events by WSK Promotion, in 2012. As usual, all the winners met at the WSK Gran Galà this year as well, to be awarded of their efforts on track. The ceremony took place on Saturday, December 15 inside the Party Hall of the Exhibition Centre in Montichiari.

AMONG OTHER SPECIAL GUESTS, JEAN ALESI ATTENDED THE WSK GRAN GALA’ TOO. The most famous karting figures attended the closing meeting for the season 2012. On behalf of the Sporting Authority, there was CIK-FIA vice-president Kees Van De Grint and ACI-CSAI karting Sub commission as well as CIK-FIA Executive member Vittorio Loriga. There was FIA Circuit Commission member Franz Schreiner and Karting Sub commission member Orazio Manni. F.1 Ferrari ex-driver Jean Alesi stood out among others and was along with his son Giuliano that has already planned to compete at the WSK events, next year. Not to mention Jules Bianchi that was one of the winners at the WSK International Series in 2006 and now leading driver of the Ferrari Driver Academy. Finally, there was also Nick De Vries, the latest talented driver that the WSK has launched to high-level motorsport.

THE TROPHY DRIVER OF THE YEAR GOES TO CALLUM ILLOT. Introduced last year, the trophy Driver of the Year has been awarded to the fourteen English boy Callum Illot, considered successful candidate for winning the WSK Master Series and WSK Final Cup and achieving a place of honour at the WSK Euro Series. It was the Vice-president Van De Grint to award the winner in the presence of F.Renault Nyck De Vries for an ideal changeover after that the young talented had been awarded with the same trophy last year.

THE WSK YEARBOOK TELLS THE WSK STORY. A book of 156 pages, edited by the Italian company Vallardi, goes back over the seventh season by WSK Promotion with the support of pictures. The book will be available at the WSK hospitality in 2013 WSK events.
