Lonato (ITA), 16.04.2026
Qualifying practice has officially kicked off the second round of the WSK Euro Series at the South Garda Karting circuit. The Lonato track is seeing a massive participation of teams and some of the most competitive drivers on the international stage, spanning from the youth categories—MINI Under 10, Gr.3, OK-NJ, and OK-N—to the international OKJ, OK, and KZ2 classes.
The level of competition within every category was immediately very high. New protagonists have already stepped into the spotlight, challenging those who prevailed in the opening round at Viterbo and setting the stage for new battles in the championship standings.
KZ2 – Orlov confirms to be the fastest, as the winner of Viterbo Van Werven is lagging a bit behind.
In KZ2, Max Orlov (Sodikart – Sodi/TM Kart/LeCont) confirmed his status as one of the most competitive drivers overall. The Russian driver, winner of the recent WSK Super Master Series, set the fastest time in Session-1 and the overall best at 45.043s, followed by his teammate, the Dutchman Senna Van Walstijn, who clocked a 45.113s.
The Frenchman Emilien Denner (Formula K SRP – IPK/TM Kart) was also among the front runners with the third-fastest overall time of 45.123s. In contrast, the winner of the first round in Viterbo, Dion Van Werven (CBP Sport – Sodikart/TM Kart), was quite far back, clocking the 18th fastest time at 45.481s.
OKJ – Babicek to the fore.
In OKJ, the Czech driver Zdenek Babicek (Tepz Racing Team – Tony Kart/Iame/Vega) stepped into the spotlight with a time of 47.513s, just 0.073s ahead of Poland's Remigiusz Samczyk (Forza Racing – Exprit/TM Kart). Other competitors were also within a few thousandths, including Germany's Max Felde (Ward Racing – Parolin/TM Kart) at 0.081s, who finished ahead of the Belgian Henri-Costant Kumpen (Ricky Flynn – LN/TM Kart) at 0.139s and Britain's Austin Newstead (Forza Racing) at 0.148s. The Viterbo winner, Michele Orlando (Team DR - DR/Modena Engines), was further back, posting the 25th fastest time and being 0.491s off the pace.
OK – Arias chased at a few thousands.
In OK, Spain’s Bosco Arias (Ricky Flynn – LN/TM Kart/LeCont) claimed pole position with a time of 46.155s. He is closely followed by Turkey's Iskender Zulfikari (Ward Racing – Parolin/TM Kart), just 50 thousandths of a second behind, and Germany’s Luke Kornder (Ricky Flynn – LN/TM Kart) at 0.075s. The Viterbo winner, Indonesia’s Qarrar Firhand (Ward Racing), secured the fourth-fastest time being 0.097s off the pace, and was followed by his teammate, the Spaniard Benjamin Manach, at 0.391s. The American Nicola Stanley (MP Academy Gamoto – Henza/TM Kart) rounded off the top positions with the sixth-fastest time, 0.555s behind.
