ON SUNDAY 1ST MARCH THE LIVE STREAMING OF THE WHOLE FINAL PHASE ON WSK.IT.
ALL THE TOP WSK DRIVERS IN A ONE-DAY TOURNAMENT.
The WSK Promotion season is entering top gears. After the two rounds of the WSK Champions Cup in La Conca in the past two weekends, international kart racing has moved near Rovigo, in northern Italy. Here, the Karting Raceway in Adria will host the WSK Gold Cup next weekend. The 1,302 metre long track, set near the delta of the river Po, has been part of the WSK calendar since last season and, in 2015, is going to be one of the main venues for international karting events. So, the WSK Gold Cup is going to launch the north Italian facility, which is ready to host its first full season starting right with this one-day event. The drivers of the KZ2, KF, KF Junior and 60 Mini categories will have to push hard, aiming at getting the best result without use of tactics. This is a race meant for fully-fledged drivers: 140 entrants coming from all around the world joined the competition and are eager to arrive in Adria.
THE KZ2 DRIVERS CHALLENGE THE WORLD CHAMPION MARCO ARDIGŇ.
It is going to be one of the most awaited-for races. The KZ2 category has been joined by all the big names of the category. The top of the list is occupied by the World Champion Marco Ardigň; he and his team-mate Flavio Camponeschi (Tony Kart-Vortex-Vega) are the drivers to beat. The Italian drivers, however, will have to deal with very tough opponents such as the Belgian Jonathan Thonon (Praga-Parilla-Vega) and his team-mates, the Czech Partik Hajek and the Spanish Jorge Pescador , all eager to give the two favourites a hard time. Apart from them, there are many others drivers who stand a chance to get remarkable results, starting with the Belgian Rick Dreezen (Zanardi-Parilla-Vega), the Dutch Lammers and the Italian Lorenzo Camplese (both on Formula K-Parilla-Vega), and the Dutch brothers Jorrit and Stan Pex (Intrepid-TM-Vega). It is definitely going to be a thrilling race.
NICKLAS NIELSEN IS THE MAN TO BEAT IN KF.
In KF, once again, the duel between the Danish Nicklas Nielsen (Tony Kart-Vortex-Vega) and the Polish Karol Basz (Kosmic-Vortex-Vega) will be the focus of attention. In the recent WSK Champions Cup, won by Nielsen, they had to hold off the Dutch Richard Verschoor (Exprit-Vortex-Vega), who grabbed the second place at the end of the challenge between the two favourites. Good chance also for the Danish Casper Roes (FA Alonso-Vortex-Vega), who made himself conspicuous in Muro Leccese together with two other rookies of the category: the Italian Lorenzo Travisanutto (PCR-TM-Vega) and Leonardo Lorandi (Tony Kart-Vortex-Vega).
CHRISTIAN LUNDGAARD IN THE DUEL BETWEEN CONTINENTS IN KFJ.
The Swedish Christian Lundgaard (Tony Kart-Vortex-Vega) is going to be the pace-setter in the peculiar challenge in KF Junior: among the favourites, besides the European driver, there are the American Logan Sargeant (FA Alonso-Vortex-Vega) and the Brazilian Felipe Drugovich (Kosmic-Vortex-Vega): these three drivers occupied the first three positions in the WSK Champions Cup. Also the Indian Kush Maini (Tony Kart-Vortex-Vega) and the Chinese Yue Yang Sun (FA Alonso-Vortex-Vega) stand a good chance. There are great expectations for a gripping duel between three continents in Adria, with a few Italians ready to join in: among them Davide Lombardo (Exprit-Vortex-Vega) and Nicola Abrusci (Tony Kart-Vortex-Vega).
DENNIS HAUGER LEADS THE PACK IN 60 MINI.
The drivers of the midget category 60 Mini are going to swarm over Adria to give the chase to the Norwegian Dennis Hauger (CRG-LKE-Vega), the leader of a pack of top drivers: among them the Italian Luigi Coluccio (Tony Kart-LKE-Vega), Giuseppe Fusco, Marzio Moretti (both on Tony Kart-LKE-Vega), Leonardo Marseglia (CRG-LKE) and Mattia Michelotto (Top Kart-Parilla).
