FIRST BATTLES IN THE WSK MASTER SERIES. The new season of international karting had a good start, showing on the 1,250 metres of the International Circuit La Conca the first, gripping duels in the qualifying heats during the opening weekend of the 2013 WSK Master Series. At the end of the day, the KF, KF Junior and 60 Mini are ready for the final phase: the starting grids for the pre-final are defined. On the other hand, in KZ2 there are already the first results after this afternoon's Final 1.

MAX VERSTAPPEN GETS THE FIRST 2013 SUCCESS IN KZ2. The weekend of Muro Leccese seems to be particularly favourable for Max Verstappen (CRG-TM-Dunlop). The 15-year-old Dutch driver, since time trials, dominated every race, going from the double win in the two qualifying heats to his undisputable success in Final 1. He managed to get the highest score possible for the provisional ranking. The English Ben Hanley (Art GP-TM-Dunlop) placed second, confirming the position he achieved since qualifying. In the battle for third place it was the Italian Fabian Federer (CRG-Modena-Dunlop) who eventually won over Charles Leclerc (Art GP-TM-Dunlop) from Monaco; the latter even lost the fourth place after he got overtaken by Bas Lammers and by the Czech Patrik Hajek (both on Praga-Parilla-Dunlop). Among the "home" drivers, the seventh place of Corsano Riccardo Negro (DR-TM-Dunlop) stands out, a placing achieved after a good recovery from 16th position.

MARTIN KODRIC ANNOUNCES HIMSELF IN KF. KF is experiencing a very uncertain weekend: four drivers shared the wins in the 6 qualifying races which have taken place so far. The Croatian Martin Kodric (FA Kart-Vortex-Vega) achieved, eventually, the best score thanks to his two victories against the only win achieved by the French Armand Convers (Kosmic-Vortex-Vega). In tomorrow's Pre-final the two drivers will start from the front row, with Kodric in pole position before the French Dorian Boccolacci (Energy-TM-Vega) and the Danish Nicklas Nielsen (Kosmic-Vortex-Vega), namely the other two winners in today's heats.

ALESSIO LORANDI CONFIRMS TO BE THE LEADER OF THE KF JUNIOR. With three wins in the fourth heats so far run, Alessio Lorandi confirmed to be the driver to be beaten. He found an excellent rival in the English Lando Norris (FA Kart-Vortex-Vega), who succeeded twice. The two drivers will start from the pole-position in their respective pre-finals with all the 61 verified drivers of this category. Next to Lorandi in the front row also the Russian Nikita Sitnikov (Tony Kart-BMB-Vega), while Norris will have to keep at bay the English Max Fewtrell(FA Kart-Vortex-Vega). Among the names to keep an eye on also the Indonesian Jehan Daruvala (FA Kart-Vortex-Vega), winner of one of the heats.

KUSH MAINI, THE INDIAN TALENT IN 60 MINI. The victory in the first heats of yesterday was not a flash in the pan: the young Indian Kush Maini (Tony Kart-LKE-Le Cont) achieved a positive streak of results also in today's races in the 60 Mini. He won another heat and, eventually, he was the best driver of the qualifying phase. He will start from the pole position in the pre-final of tomorrow morning. The Spanish Eliseo Martinez (CRG-LKE-Le Cont) remains his main rival: he will start from the second slot of the grid after achieving two wins in the heats. The second row is occupied by the Malaysian Muiz bin Abdul Gafar (CRG-LKE-Le Cont) and the Italian Giuseppe Fusco (Lenzo-LKE-Le Cont), ready to fight after achieving a win each today.

FINALIS LIVE ON STOP&GO FOR THE FIRST WSK ROUND.
